Luke 16:13-15:

"No servant is able to serve two masters; for either he will hate the one, and he will love the other; or he will hold to the one and will despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon."

Now the Pharisees who were also covetous, heard all these things; and they ridiculed Him.

And He said to them, “You are those who justify themselves before men, but God knows your hearts; for that which is highly esteemed among men is an abomination before God.

Romans 6:16:

Don’t you realize that to whom you yield yourselves as servants to obey, you are servants of the one you obey, whether it is of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
