"1The heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2On
the seventh day God finished His work which He had made; and He rested
on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. 3God blessed the seventh day, and made it holy, because He rested in it from all His work, which He had created and made." (Genesis 2:1-3 WEB)
[Seek the Lord while He may be found]
"6Turn to the LORD! He can still be found. Call out to God! He is near. 7Give up your crooked ways and your evil thoughts. Return to the LORD our God. He will be merciful and forgive your sins. 8The LORD says: "My thoughts and my ways are not like yours. 9Just as the heavens are higher than the earth, my thoughts and my ways are higher than yours." [Is worship of God a focal point of your life?] (Isaiah 55:6-9 CEV)
"25Some people have gotten out of the habit of meeting for worship, but we must not do that. We should keep on encouraging each other, especially since you know that the day of the Lord’s coming is getting closer." (Hebrews 10:25 CEV)
"37Judge not, and you shall not be judged: condemn not, and you shall not be condemned: forgive, and you shall be forgiven:" [How quick are we to cast condemnation on our fellow humans!] (Luke 6:37 KJVR)
"20And He [God the Father] shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: 21Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began." [God will restore all things, when and in the manner He wants them restored!] (Acts 3:20-21 KJVR)
[What you are about to read can only be fully understood by those who are spiritually minded.]
"9But as it is written:
"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."
10But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12Now
we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is
from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to
us by God. 13These things we also speak, not in words which
man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing
spiritual things with spiritual. 14But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned (understood). 15But he who is spiritual judges (evaluates) all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 16For ‘who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?’ But we have the mind of Christ." (1 Corinthians 2:9-16 NKJV)
[Have you accepted Jesus and received the Holy Spirit?] "6Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:6-7 NKJV)
[If you have the spirit of
God within you, then read on, if you do not have God’s spirit of
understanding, then read no further as you will be wasting your time!]
"1Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. 2And
on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested
on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. 3Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made." (Genesis 2:1-3 NKJV)
[Jesus recognized the Sabbath Day,] "1Now
it happened, as He went into the house of one of the rulers of the
Pharisees to eat bread on the Sabbath, that they watched Him closely. 2And behold, there was a certain man before Him who had dropsy. 3And Jesus, answering, spoke to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?" 4But they kept silent. And He took him and healed him, and let him go. 5Then He answered them, saying, "Which of you, having a donkey or an ox that has fallen into a pit, will not immediately pull him out on the Sabbath day?" 6And they could not answered Him regarding these things," (Luke 14:1-6 NKJV)
[Do
you believe and understand that the very finger of God wrote the Ten
Commandments. Do you know and honestly believe that the Sabbath Day is
one of the "Ten Commandments Given by God?" Did Jesus Keep His Father’s
commandments?] 1And God spoke all these words, saying:
2"I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3"You shall have no other gods before Me.
4"You
shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything
that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in
the water under the earth; 5you shall not bow down to them
nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the
iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth
generations of those who hate Me, 6but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
7"You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
8"Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10but
the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do
no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant,
nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is
within your gates. 11For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day.
Thereforethe Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it. (Exodus 20:1-11 NKJV) [Here again, as in Genesis, God repeats the fact that He blessed the Sabbath and made it Holy at creation.]
[Did Jesus keep the commandments of His Father, which included the Sabbath Day? Jesus states that:] "10If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love." (John 15:10 NKJV)
[Do you love Jesus?] 15"If you love Me, keep My commandments. 21"He
who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he
who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and
manifest Myself to him." (John 14:15 & 21 NKJV)
[Did Jesus give us an example to follow?] "21For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:
22 "Who committed no sin,
Nor was deceit found in His mouth" (1 Peter 2:21-22 NKJV) [Christ did not sin.]
[Was Jesus accused of breaking the Sabbath?] 23Now
it happened that He went through the grainfields on the Sabbath; and as
they went His disciples began to pluck the heads of grain. 24And the Pharisees said to Him, "Look, why do they do what is not lawful on the Sabbath?" 25But He said to them, "Have you never read what David did when he was in need and hungry, he and those with him: 26"how
he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest,
and ate the showbread, which is not lawful to eat, except for the
priests, and also gave some to those who were with him?" 27And He said to them, "The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. 28"Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath." (Mark 2:23-28 NKJV)
[We
see in 1 Peter 2:21-22 that Jesus did no sin, yet Jesus did not follow
the traditions of the Jews! Did Jesus say that keeping the commandments
of men is vain worship?] 1Then the scribes and Pharisees who were from Jerusalem came to Jesus, saying, 2"Why do Your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread." 3He answered and said to them, "Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition? 4"For God commanded, saying, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ 5"But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, "Whatever profit you might have received from me is a gift to God"— 6‘then he need not honor his father or mother.’ Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition. 7"Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying:
8 ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth,
And honor Me with their lips,
But their heart is far from Me.
9 And in vain they worship Me,
Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’
10When He had called the multitude to Himself, He said to them, "Hear and understand: 11"Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man." 12Then His disciples came and said to Him, "Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?" 13But He answered and said, "Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted. 14"Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch." 15Then Peter answered and said to Him, "Explain this parable to us." 16So Jesus said, "Are you also still without understanding? 17"Do you not yet understand that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and is eliminated? 18"But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man. 19"For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. 20"These are the things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man." (Matthew 15:1-20 NKJV)
[Can you see the spiritual
parallel of those who choose to keep another day for worship, a day that
God did not set aside as holy? Men have a tradition of Sunday worship, Jesus calls it vain worship. God says the first day of the week is a workday, thus it is not holy.]
[Are you called of Jesus? Are you called to be a saint?] "6among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ; 7To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ." (Romans 1:6-7 NKJV)
[Are we judged by whether we keep the commandments? Do saints keep the commandments of God?] "12Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus." (Revelation 14:12 NKJV)
[Commandment keepers are blessed and may have right to the tree of life:] "12And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work." 13"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last." "14Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city." (Revelation 22:12-14 NKJV)
[Will you base your salvation
on the tradition of "Sunday keeping"? Or will you reject the traditions
of this society and faithfully observe and keep the Creation Sabbath as
kept by Jesus and inspired to be kept by the holy scriptures?]
21"Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22"Many
will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your
name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your
name?’ 23"And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’" (Mathew 7:21 NKJV)[Are you subject to the law of God and can you please Him?] "5For
those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of
the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the
Spirit. 6For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. 9But
you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God
dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is
not His." (Romans 8:5-9 NKJV)
[Remember: God Made the Sabbath Day Holy at Creation!]
[Let’s examine the fable
that the "Disciples of Christ were assembled to worship and celebrate
the resurrection of Christ on the first day of the week." John 20:19 was
not the first Sunday service. Facts are quite to the contrary: The
scripture plainly states that "they were gathered there ‘for fear of the Jews:’"] "18Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her. 19Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and said unto them, ‘Peace be unto you.’" (John 20:18-19)
["The
frightened disciples had learned that the tomb was empty, and they
probably expected to be accused with stealing the body of Jesus. As they huddled together in the locked room for protection and reassurance, Jesus appeared in their midst. They did not even believe Christ had been resurrected from the dead!
Mark's written account tells us that the disciples totally rejected the
testimony of Mary and did not believe the other disciples who brought
testimony of actually seeing the resurrected Lord:]
"9Now after Jesus had risen, early the first day of the week He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom He had cast out seven demons."
[It should be noted that Jesus was crucified on a Wednesday and placed
in the tomb just before sunset Wednesday because the annual High Day
Sabbath was about to commence and remained in the tomb for three nights
and three days and rose according to scripture just before sunset on the
weekly Sabbath.]
"10She went and told it to those who had been with Him, whowere grieving and weeping. 11And when they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe it.12Now after these things, He appeared in a different form to two of them as they were walking, going away into the country. 13And they went and toldit to the rest; but they did not believe them either. 14Afterwards, as they were sitting to eat, He (Jesus) appeared to the eleven and reproached them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen." (Mark 16:9-14)
"17He who is truthful testifies honestly, But a false witness lies." (Proverbs 12:17 WEB)
"25A truthful witness saves souls, But a false witness is deceitful. (Proverbs 14:25 WEB)
[Jesus said:] "20You know the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honor your father and your mother." Luke 18:20 (KJVR)
[Jesus has an answer for those who bear false witness unknowingly:] "29But Jesus answered them, ‘You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.’" (Matthew 22:29 WEB)
[Another translation states:] "26Jesus answered: ‘You are completely wrong! You don't know what the Scriptures teach. And you don't know anything about the power of God.’" (Matthew 22:29 CEV)
[Before one preaches scripture you should:] "15Do your best to present yourself to God as an approved worker who has nothing to be ashamed of, handling the word of truth with precision." (2 Timothy 2:15 ISV)
[God’s word is the truth:] 17Sanctify them in Your Truth; Your Word is Truth. (John 17:17 LITV)
[Do not just believe men’s teachings alone:] "21Instead, test everything. Hold on to what is good," (1 Thessalonians 5:21 ISV)
[Follow the example in Acts:] "11…They
were very willing to receive the message, and every day they carefully
examined the Scriptures to see if those things were so." (Acts 17:11 ISV)
[Did the Gentiles assemble on the Sabbath day?]
"42So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath. 43Now
when the synagogue broke up, many of the Jews and of the devout
proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas; who, speaking to them, urged them
to continue in the grace of God. 44The next Sabbath almost the whole city was gathered together to hear the word of God. 45But
when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with jealousy, and
contradicted the things which were spoken by Paul, and blasphemed. 46Paul
and Barnabas spoke out boldly, and said, ‘It was necessary that God's
word should be spoken to you first. Since indeed you thrust it from you,
and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the
Gentiles. 47For so has the Lord commanded us, saying, "I have set you as a light for the Gentiles, That you should bring salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth."’ 48As the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of God. As many as were appointed to eternal life believed." [No Sunday worship here!] (Acts 13:42-48 WEB)
"2And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three Sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures, 3Opening
and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again
from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ. 4And some of them believed, and consorted with Paul and Silas; and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief women not a few." (Acts 17:2-4 KJVR)
"3And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers. 4And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks." (Acts 18:3-4 KJVR)
"16And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I (Jesus) must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd." [Jesus knows His sheep and He is the one who will bring them together!] (John 10:16 KJVR)
"22You don’t know what you’re worshiping. We know what we’re worshiping, for salvation comes from the Jews. 23Yet the hour is coming, and is now here, when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. Indeed, the Father is looking for people like that to worship him. 24God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." [Do you have the faith to worship God on the True Sabbath?] (John 4:22-24 ISV)
"14My friends, what good is it to say you have faith, when you don’t do anything to show that you really do have faith? Can that kind of faith save you? 15If you know someone who doesn’t have any clothes or food, 16you
shouldn’t just say, ‘I hope all goes well for you. I hope you will be
warm and have plenty to eat.’ What good is it to say this, unless you do
something to help? 17Faith that doesn’t lead us to do good deeds is all alone and dead!" "18Suppose
someone disagrees and says, ‘It is possible to have faith without doing
kind deeds.’ I would answer, ‘Prove that you have faith without doing
kind deeds, and I will prove that I have faith by doing them.’ 19You surely believe there is only one God. That’s fine. Even demons believe this, and it makes them shake with fear." (James 2:14-19 CEV)
"13No
servant is able to serve two masters; for either he will hate the one,
and he will love the other, or he will hold to the one and despise the
other. You cannot serve God and mammon (money)." "14Now the Pharisees who were also covetous, heard all these things: and they ridiculed Him. 15And He (Jesus) said unto them, ‘You are those who justify themselves before men, but God knows your hearts; for that which is highly esteemed among men [such as Sunday worship] is an abomination before God.’" (Luke 16:13-15 NKJV)
[Are you going to be deceived into worshiping on Sunday by the man of sin, who is possibly a Roman Catholic Pope?] "3Do
not let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day cannot come unless
the rebellion takes place first and the man of sin, who is destined for
destruction, is revealed. 4He opposes and exalts himself
above every so-called god and object of worship. As a result, he seats
himself in the sanctuary of God and declares himself to be God." (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 ISV)
[This
man of sin who has attempted to change the Sabbath to Sunday worship;
has no authority nor are there any Biblical scriptures validating such
an abomination!] "25And he shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High; and he shall think to change the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and half a time. 26But the judgment shall be set, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. 27And the
kingdom and the dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the
whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most
High [those who keep the commandments of Almighty God!]: His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him [the God Most High]." (Daniel 7:25-27 ASV)
"16Don’t you realize that to whom you yield yourselves as servants to obey, you are servants of the one you obey, whether it is sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?" (Romans 6:16 NKJV)
