Prelude to: Mystery Revealed

Pagans, heathen, and Gentiles or Israelites

Most bible translations do not use the term pagan. Pagan could also be translated as heathen or Gentile. A heathen is one that is not of the circumcised Israelites of the Old Covenant. The term heathen refers in the Old Covenant to those who were not of Israelite extraction. Heathen occurs seven times in the King James version of the New Covenant. However the term Gentile or Gentiles occurs extensively within the pages of Holy Scriptures, in excess of over 120 times in the KJV. Gentiles has the meaning of heathen, nation, people. In the New Covenant, Gentile could be either a converted saint of God or an nonbeliever in Jesus Christ as God's Son and the Savior. Many peoples call their self "Christians" but do not worship God in spirit and truth. They teach for doctrines the commandments of men. (Read Matthew 15:9 or Mark 7:7 & Mark 7:9).

[Caution:] (Jeremiah 10:2). "Thus says the LORD, 'Do not learn the way of the heathen, and do not be terrified at the signs of the heavens; for the nations (heathen) are terrified at them.' "

(Genesis 18:17-18). "And the LORD said, 'Shall I hide from Abraham the thing which I do, Since Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?' " [A prelude of all nations (Gentiles) being blessed in faithful Abraham.]

(Galatians 3:6-14). "It is exactly as it is written: 'Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness.' Because of this, you should understand that those who are of faith are the true sons of Abraham. Now in the Scriptures, God, seeing in advance that He would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, 'In you shall all the nations be blessed.' It is for this reason that those who are of faith are being blessed with the believing Abraham. For as many as are relying on works of law are under a curse, because it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things that have been written in the book of the law to do them.' Therefore, it is evident that no one is being justified before God by means of works of law; because it is written, "The just shall live by faith." Now then, the law is not based on faith; but, 'The man who practices these things shall live in them.' Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree') In order that the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles by Christ Jesus, and that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."

(Galatians 3:22-29). "But the Scriptures have shut up all things under sin, so that by the faith of Jesus Christ the promise might be given to those who believe. Now before faith came, we were guarded under law, having been shut up unto the faith that was yet to be revealed. In this way, the law was our tutor to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. But since faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor Because you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ did put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek (Gentile); there is neither bond nor free; there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." [No one is above another as we worship and serve the God Family.]

[Faith, plus works are necessary!] (James 2:19-20). "Do you believe that God is one? You do well to believe this. Even the demons believe—and tremble in fear. But are you willing to understand, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?"

Mystery Revealed

(Deuteronomy 29:29). "The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever so that we may do all the words of this law." [Basically a law or agreement to worship God and none other!]

(Amos 3:7). "Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing unless He reveals His secret unto His servants the prophets."

The Old Testament spoke of a king to come. (Jeremiah 23:5-6). " 'Behold, the days come,' says the LORD, 'that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall do justice and righteousness in the earth. In His days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely. And this is His name by which He shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.' " [Here we understand prophecy to Judah and Israel, for a righteous king.]

[Daniel foretold of a kingdom to be established, (Examine Daniel 2:34-34, 44-45 & Daniel 7:13-14, 27). Other prophets spoke in similar manner.]

[What we state and you see revealed to you through the scriptures, becomes your personal responsibility to prove and search the scriptures to understand if our statements about these things are true! (Read 1 Thessalonians 5:21 & Acts 17:11).]

[Why would God put a mark or seal on certain people?] (Ezekiel 9:4). "And the LORD said to him, 'Go through in the midst of the city, in the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark on the foreheads of the men who are groaning and are mourning because of all the abominations that are done in her midst.' "

(Ezekiel 9:6) " 'Fully destroy old men, young men and virgins, and little children and women. But do not come near any man on whom is the mark. And begin at My sanctuary.' And they began with the old men who were before the temple." [All unrighteous rebellious people destroyed!]

(Daniel 12:4) "But you, O Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, even to the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased."

(Daniel 12:9-10) "And he said, 'Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end. Many shall be purified, and made white, and refined. But the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.' "

[What is the message we should be preaching?] (Mark 1:14 & Matthew 4:23; 9:35 & 24:14). "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be proclaimed in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." [Why should the gospel of the kingdom be proclaimed to all the world? Because salvation is offered unto all humanity, all races, nations, and people!]

(Mark 4:11-12) "And He said to them, 'To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are without, all things are done in parables; So that in seeing they may see, and not perceive; and in hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.' " [God determines who understands and who could be blinded for His reasons. (Read the verse below John 6:44).]

[Jesus said in] (John 6:44). "No one can come to Me unless the Father, Who sent Me, draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day." [Have you been drawn to Jesus and are your eyes open? Just who might the Father be drawing to Jesus?]

(John 14:6) "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.' " [ What is truth? Are you seeking truth? (Read John 17:17).]

(Matthew 11:27). "All things were delivered to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; neither does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son personally chooses to reveal Him." [The God family personally chooses people.]

[Speaking of Jesus] (Mathew 17:2-3, 9). "And He was transfigured before them; and His face shined as the sun, and His garments became white as the light. Then behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah talking with Him." & "Now as they were descending from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, 'Tell the vision to no one until the Son of man has risen from the dead.' " [The question arises, just why did Jesus reveal this?]

(John 4:23-24). "But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father is indeed seeking those who worship Him in this manner. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth." [Note this very important consideration; are you willing to accept or reject scriptural truth.]

(Romans 11:25-26). "For I do not wish you to be ignorant of this mystery, brethren, in order that you may not be wise in your own conceits: that a partial hardening of the heart has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved, according as it is written: 'Out of Sion shall come the Deliverer, and He shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob.' " [Key to 144,00 and the multitude, (Read and understand Revelation 7:1-8 & 7:9-17).]

(Acts 2:17-21). ' "And it shall come to pass in the last days," says God, "that I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; And even upon My servants and upon My handmaids will I pour out My Spirit in those days, and they shall prophesy; And I will show wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and vapors of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." ' [Salvation offered to all who accept Jesus' sacrifice.]

(Acts 10:28). "And he said to them, 'You know that it is unlawful for a man who is a Jew to associate with or come near to anyone of another race. But God has shown me that no man should be called common or unclean.' " [A mystery is being opened up to understanding.]

[Peter tells us in] (Acts 11:15-18). " 'And when I began to speak, the Holy Spirit came upon them, even as it also came upon us in the beginning. Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said, "John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit." Therefore, if God also gave them the same gift that was given to us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to dissent? Do I have the power to forbid God?' And after hearing these things, they were silent; and they glorified God, saying, 'Then to the Gentiles also has God indeed granted repentance unto life.' " [Thus God is calling people to salvation "out of every nation and tribe and people and language."]

(Acts 15:23-27). "And they wrote letters by their hand, as follows: "The apostles and the elders and the brethren, to those brethren who are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia: Greetings! Inasmuch as we have heard that certain ones among us who went to you have troubled your souls with words, saying, 'You are obligated to be circumcised and to keep the law' ; It seemed good to us, being assembled with one accord, to send to you chosen men with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, Men who have dedicated their lives to proclaim the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, we have sent Judas and Silas, who shall themselves also tell you by word of mouth the same things that we have written." [law = ordinances]

(Acts 15:28-29). "For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us, to lay no further burden upon you than these necessary things: To abstain from things sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from what has been strangled, and from sexual immorality; if you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. Farewell."

(Romans 15:8-13). "Now I tell you that Jesus Christ has become a servant to the circumcision for the truth of God, so that He might confirm the promises given to the fathers; And that the Gentiles might glorify God for His mercy, exactly as it is written: "For this cause I will confess You among the Gentiles, and I will praise Your name." And again it says, "Rejoice, all you Gentiles, with His people"; And again, "Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles; and praise Him, all you peoples." And again, Isaiah says, "There shall be a root of Jesse, and He that arises shall rule the Gentiles: in Him shall all the Gentiles hope." May the God of hope fill you now with all joy and peace in believing that you may abound in hope and in the power of the Holy Spirit."

(Romans 16:25-27). "Now to Him who has the power to establish you, according to my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery that in past ages has been kept secret; But now is made manifest, and by the prophetic scriptures, according to the commandment of the eternal God, has been made known to all the nations unto the obedience of faith; To the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, be the glory into the ages of eternity. Amen." [Mystery manifested: all nations offered obedience of faith, thus able to serve God.]

(Revelation 7:2-3). "Then I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun, having the seal of the living God; and he cried out with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to damage the earth and the sea, Saying, "Do not damage the earth, or the sea, or the trees until we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads." [Be sealed, not removed!]

(Revelation 7:9-10). "After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude, which no one was able to number, out of every nation and tribe and people and language, was standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes and holding palms in their hands; And they were calling out with a loud voice to Him Who sits on the throne and to the Lamb, saying, 'The salvation of our God.’ " [A great multitude of Gentiles will be saved!]

[Who are these multitudes?] (Revelation 7:14-15). "Then I said to him, 'Sir, you know.' And he said to me, 'They are the ones who have come out of the great tribulation; and they have washed their robes, and have made their robes white in the blood of the Lamb. For this reason, they are before the throne of God and serve Him day and night in His temple; and the One Who sits on the throne shall dwell among them.' " [Tribulation is a time of testing and refining!]

(Revelation 18:4). "And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, 'Come out of her, My people, so that you do not take part in her sins, and that you do not receive of her plagues.' "

(Mark 13:20). "And unless the Lord had limited the days, no flesh would be saved; but for the sake of the elect, whom He has chosen, He has limited the days." (& Matthew 24:22). [The Elect of God, become sealed, and are saved alive through the tribulation.]

(Matthew 5:5). "Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth." [Heaven is not a goal.]

(1 Corinthians 2:7-10). "Rather, we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom that God foreordained before the ages unto our glory Which not one of the rulers of this world has known, (for if they had known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory); But according as it is written, 'The eye has not seen, nor the ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.' But God has revealed them to us by His Spirit, for the Spirit searches all thingseven the deep things of God."

(1 Corinthians 15:51). "Behold, I show you a mystery: we shall not fall asleep, but we shall all be changed." [Living saints on earth (not in heaven) become spiritual at Jesus' return to earth.]

(Ephesians 1:9-10). "Having made known to us the mystery of His own will, according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Himself; That in the divine plan for the fulfilling of the times, He might bring all things together in Christ, both the things in the heavens and the things upon the earth." [Jesus has other flocks, the elders will come with Christ at his return to earth.]

[The Mystery of Christ’s purpose revealed] (Ephesians 3:4-6). "So that when you read this, you will be able to comprehend my understanding in the mystery of Christ, Which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; That the Gentiles might be joint heirs, and a joint body, and joint partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel." [As revealed, the Gentiles are to be joint heirs with Israel’s (Abraham’s) physical descendants.]

(Ephesians 3:9). "And that I might enlighten all as to what is the fellowship of the mystery that has been hidden from the ages in God, Who created all things by Jesus Christ." [Such mystery is now revealed and we can fully understand] (John 3:17). "For God sent not His Son into the world that He might judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him."

(Ephesians 5:32). "This is a great mystery; but I am speaking in respect to Christ and the church." [Read the context. How close are you to listening and obeying Jesus?]

[Are you prepared for spiritual battle?] (Ephesians 6:10-19). "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the might of His strength. Put on the whole armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Because we are not wrestling against flesh and blood, but against principalities and against powers, against the world rulers of the darkness of this age, against the spiritual power of wickedness in high places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having worked out all things, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girded about with truth, and wearing the breastplate of righteousness, And having your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Besides all these, take up the shield of the faith, with which you will have the power to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one; And put on the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God; Praying at all times with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and in this very thing being watchful with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints; And for me, that boldness of speech may be given to me so that I may open my mouth to make known the mystery of the gospel."

(Colossians 1:26-27). "Even the mystery that has been hidden from ages and from generations, but has now been revealed to His saints; To whom God did will to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory." [Do you understand who qualifies to be called a saint? Check out the biblical truth.]

(Colossians 2:2). "That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, unto the knowledge of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ." [Notice no mention here concerning the Holy Spirit as a personage.]

[This was formerly a mystery] (Colossians 3:9-11). "Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man together with his deeds, And have put on the new man, who is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him Who created him; Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, barbarian nor Scythian, slave nor free; but Christ is all things, and in all." [No "races" here, all are just brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.]

(Galatians 3:26-29). "Because you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ did put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek; there is neither bond nor free; there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." [Do people really understand what this means? No person is superior to another!]

(Colossians 4:3). "And praying for us also, so that God may open to us a door to proclaim the message of the mystery of Christ, for which I have also been imprisoned." [Please pray for us!]

[Are you all willing to preach the Mystery of the Gospel with all boldness?] (Acts 5:28-29). "Saying, 'Did we not order you by a direct command not to teach in this name? And look, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, with the purpose of bringing this man's blood upon us.' But Peter and the apostles answered and said, 'We are obligated to obey God rather than men.' "

[Are you a true saint?] (Revelation 14:12). "Here is the patience of the saints; here are the ones who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus."

[Are you ashamed of the word of God?] (Mark 8:38). "For whoever shall be ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels."

(1 Timothy 3:9). "Holding the mystery of the faith with a pure conscience."

(1 Timothy 3:16). "And undeniably, great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, was justified in the Spirit, was seen by angels, was proclaimed among the Gentiles, was believed on in the world, was received up in glory." [Jesus lives!]

(Revelation 1:20). "The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands, is this: the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches; and the seven lampstands that you saw are the seven churches."

[Of seven churches mentioned in Revelation, some suffer death. Ephesus a warning to repent or suffer the removal of its candlestick; Smyrna be faithful unto death; Pergamum those who do not repent, Jesus will fight against them with the sword of His mouth; Thyatira Because they commit sin and allow it. Jesus says that He will kill her children with death…according to their works, to the rest He puts on them no other burden; Sardis hold fast and repent or Jesus comes as a thief and they won’t know it, overcomers have their name written in the book of lilfe; Philadelphia kept the word…Jesus will keep them from "the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth," these elect get sealed; Laodicea neither cold or hot so Jesus would vomit them out of His mouth unless they repent, then if invited, He will sup with them.]

(Revelation 1:7). "Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye shall see Him, and those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen."

(Matthew 24:44). "Therefore, you also be ready. For the Son of man is coming at a time that you do not think." [View. (Luke 12:40) "…coming in an hour that you do not think."]

(Mark 13:22). "For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and they shall give signs and wonders, in order to deceive, if possible, even the elect." [Their deception for personal gain.]

(Mar 13:26-27). "And then they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then He shall send His angels, and shall gather together His elect from the four winds, and from the extremity of earth to the extremity of heaven (sky)." [Scatterd on earth...]

(Revelation 10:7). "But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound the trumpet, the mystery of God shall also be completed, according to the gospel that He declared to His servants the prophets." [Salvation to all who obey & seek the kingdom of God.]

[Satan is allowed to work his mystery for a time…] (2 Thessalonians 2:7). "For the mystery of lawlessness is already working; only there is one Who is restraining at the present time until it [satanic control] arises out of the midst."

(Revelation 19:20). "And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who worked miracles in his presence, by which he had deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. Those two were cast alive into the lake of fire, which burns with brimstone."

(Romans 12:9). "...Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says the Lord."

(Revelation 20:2-3). "And he took hold of the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. Then he cast him into the abyss, and locked him up, and sealed the abyss over him, so that he would not deceive the nations any longer until the thousand years were fulfilled; and after that it is ordained that he be loosed for a short time."

(Revelation 17:5) "And across her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF THE HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH."

(Revelation 17:7) "Then the angel said to me, 'Why are you amazed? I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns. ' " [If your eyes are open – read on in: (Revelation chapter 17).]
