You Either Worship God or Satan

The choice of life or death is given to all people. Deu 30:19-20, "I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore choose life, so that you and your descendants may live, 20 and that you may love the LORD your God, obey Him, and hold fast to Him. For He is your life, and He will prolong your life … " God wants us to commit to worshiping Him. Have you chosen whom you will worship? Satan wants you to worship him! Mat 6:24, "No one can serve two masters: Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money {the insane all encompassing desire to accumulate wealth and power}."

Be faithful to God: Heb 13:5-6, "Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, for God has said: 'Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.' 6 So we say with confidence: 'The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?' " Sin is the primary way we become disconnected from the worship of God. Not because He leaves us, but because we walk away from Him. Heb 4:16, "Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."

What action should you take? Jas 4:7-8, "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded." You can't be "a fence sitter." By your very actions, you make a choice to worship God or evil (the Devil)!

Be careful who and in what manner you worship. Are you comfortable in worshiping false deities? Jer 44:16-19, "As for the word that you have spoken to us in the name of the LORD, we will not hearken to you. 17 But we will certainly do whatever thing goes forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our rulers, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem. For then we had plenty of food, and were well, and saw no evil. 18 But since we stopped burning incense to the queen of heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, we have lacked all things, and have been devoured by the sword and by the famine. 19 And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings to her, did we make our cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings to her without our men?"

Easter sunrise services are of pagan origin: Eze 8:15-16, " 'Son of man,' He said to me, 'do you see this? Yet you will see even greater abominations than these.' 16 So He brought me to the inner court of the house of the LORD, and there at the entrance to the temple of the LORD, between the portico and the altar, were about twenty-five men with their backs to the temple of the LORD and their faces toward the east; and they were bowing to the east in worship of the sun. Don't choose to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season! If you worship and obey God you will be oppressed by those who serve evil. Paul tells us of the merciful deliverance he received: 2Ti 3:11-13, " … What persecutions I endured! But the Lord delivered me out of all. 12 Yea, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. 13 But evil men and seducers will go forward to worse, deceiving and being deceived. You should be as written in Heb 11:25, "choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a time."

When inspired by God, we should be bold. Eph 6:19-20, "And for me, that boldness of speech may be given to me so that I may open my mouth to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 For which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may speak with boldness, as it behooves me to speak." Don't be afraid to sing a new song. Worship God with singing. Psa 149:1, "O praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, and His praise in the congregation of saints."

Let it be known that there is: Ecc 3:4, "A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance." Don't criticize those who dance for joy during worship songs to God! Psa 149:1-5, "O praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, and His praise in the congregation of saints. 2 Let Israel rejoice in his Maker; let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. 3 Let them praise His name in the dance; let them sing praises to Him with the drum and lyre, 4 For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He crowns the meek with salvation. 5 Let the saints be joyful in glory; let them sing aloud upon their beds." It is not wrong to even be singing while in bed!

You are counted worthy. There is no spiritual qualification to praise and worship the Lord when you are in Christ. 2Co 5:17, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!" Not a repaired, glued together old creation. A new one that never existed before!

Of course, you should, Eph 4:1, "… walk in a manner worthy of the calling you have received." Do not continue in your sin! Joh 5:14, "Afterward, Jesus … said … , 'See, you have been made well. Stop sinning, or something worse may happen to you.' " Rom 12:1-2, "Therefore I urge you, brothers, on account of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God."

Don't Mock God by mocking worship of Him. Mar 15:18-19, "And they began to salute Him, and kept on saying, 'Hail, King of the Jews!' 19 Then they struck His head with a rod, and spit on Him; and kneeling down, they bowed in worship to Him."

Go Ahead - Make a Choice

Choose whom you are going to worship, either serve God or serve Satan's way of evil. There are only two choices: love the truth or a teach falsehood; water is either sweet or bitter; there is no in between. Be willing to worship God in love. Mat 26:41, "Watch and pray so that you will not enter into temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak." Draw upon spiritual power from Christ to succeed in worshiping God. Php 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength."

As we worship with praise with song, we are offering a pleasing sacrifice to God. Heb 13:15-16, "Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise, the fruit of lips that confess His name. 16 And do not neglect to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased."

The Book of LIFE

A book of remembrance is being written. Will you be in the Book of Life? Mal 3:16-18, "At that time those who feared {reverenced and worshiped} the LORD spoke with one another, and the LORD listened and heard them. So a scroll of remembrance was written before Him regarding those who feared the LORD and honored His name. 17 'They will be Mine,' says the LORD of Hosts, 'on the day when I prepare My treasured possession. And I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him. 18 So you will again distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.' "
