Love or Love Not...

We are given an insight into the love and provision of God, our Father, as written in 1Ti 5:8, "But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel {an unbeliever}." Just examine this planet that God has placed us upon and realize the enormous physical provision God has provided for humankind. Upon the examination of holy scripture, realize God is offering salvation to all who are willing to listen and obey their Creator. God's plan is to freely give salvation to those who confess their sins and accept Jesus as their Savior, and are willing to not remain in sin, nor practice sin as they seek to return to the God family the love and obedience due the God family. 1Jn 4:19, "We love Him because He loved us first."

Rom 8:32, "He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?" We should make up our mind to serve God. Life is full of decisions. Whom have you decided to serve? Luk 16:13, "No servant {person} can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money." God has assured His love for us as He has said in: Heb 13:5, "Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, for God has said: 'Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.' "

God Expresses Concern

God expresses concern for others, besides His chosen Israel as revealed in: Isa 42:1, "Here is My Servant {the Messiah}, whom I uphold, My Chosen One, in whom My soul delights. I will put My Spirit on Him, and He will bring justice to the {Gentile} nations." Paul said to the Gentiles in Eph 3:7, "I became a servant {minister} of this gospel by the gift of God's grace, given me through the working of His power."

God expressed His love for His Son at Jesus' baptism: Mat 3:17, "And a voice from heaven said, 'This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased {I have great delight}!' " Father God loves and trusts Christ Jesus: Joh 3:35, "The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand."

God has rescued some of us: Col 1:13, "Who has personally rescued us from the power of darkness and has transferred us unto the kingdom of the Son of His love." God does provide for us, however we haven't received the kingdom, yet: Luk 12:29-32, "And do not be concerned about what you will eat or drink. Do not worry about it. 30 For the Gentiles of the world strive after all these things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31 But seek His kingdom, and these things will be added unto you. 32 Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father is pleased to give you the kingdom." We are assured that we have what we need for salvation: 2Pe 1:3, "His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence." Joh 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in Him may not perish, but may have everlasting life."

Persons who love...

Persons who do not love...

Do not know God (1Jn 4:8)

Also love their brother

Hate their brother, and are liars

Have no fear in the love of God

Fear & have not been made perfect, in love

Are duty-bound to love one another

Have the spirit of false prophets

Confess Jesus Christ has come in the flesh

Deny Christ with a spirit of antichrist

Have the Spirit of truth (Joh 17:17)

Have the spirit of the deception

Are of God (righteous).

Are of the world (worldly)

God is Love

God is love. 1 Joh 4:7-8, "Beloved, we should love one another because love is from God; and everyone who loves has been begotten by God, and knows God. 8 The one who does not love does not know God because God is love."

David delighted in the promise that God will not abandon His saints. Psa 37:1-9, "Do not fret over those who do evil; do not envy those who do wrong. 2 For they wither quickly like grass and wilt like tender plants. 3 Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. 4 Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him, and He will do it." 6 He will bring forth your righteousness like the dawn, your justice like the noonday sun. 7 Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when men prosper in their ways, when they carry out wicked schemes. 8 Refrain from anger and abandon wrath; do not fret—it can only bring harm. 9 For the evildoers will be cut off, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the earth.

Trust God

Do good, but know you may suffer some. 1Pe 3:8-17, "Finally, all of you, be like-minded and sympathetic, love as brothers, be tenderhearted and humble. 9 Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. 10 For, 'Whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech. 11 He must turn from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it. 12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are inclined to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.' 13 Who can harm you if you are zealous for what is good? 14 But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. 'Do not fear what they fear; do not be shaken.' 15 But in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give a defense to everyone who asks you the reason for the hope that is in you. But respond with gentleness and respect, 16 keeping a clear conscience, so that those who slander you may be put to shame by your good behavior in Christ. 17 For it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil." Trust God, He cares for YOU!

Have NO Fear!

1Jn 4:18, "There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment. The one who fears has not been perfected in love." Our Creator is all powerful and can hear the thoughts of our minds. Job 42:1-2, "And Job answered the LORD and said, 2 'I know that You can do all things, and that no thought can be withheld from You.' "

Do not fear, secrets will be revealed, preach the coming Kingdom and know that others, perhaps might kill the body, but can not destroy the life. Note that God Almighty has the power to destroy both evil bodies and their lives in everlasting punishment – hell. Mat 10:26-28, "Therefore, do not fear them because there is nothing covered that shall not be uncovered, and nothing hidden that shall not be known. 27 What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, proclaim upon the housetops. 28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body, but do not have power to destroy the life; rather, fear Him Who has the power to destroy both life and body in Gehenna {hell}."

Attitude of Forgiveness

Part of loving is having an attitude of forgiveness. This is so important that it is repeated twice; once during the model prayer and almost directly afterwards, just in case you overlooked Christ's instruction to forgive! Mat 6:12, "And forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors." Oops! What did Jesus mean: Mat 6:14-15, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."

What kind of action will you take and what attitude will you have? Mar 11:25-26, "But when you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive, so that your Father Who is in heaven may forgive you your offenses. 26 For if you do not forgive, neither will your Father Who is in heaven forgive you your offenses." Col 3:13-14, "Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so also you should forgive. 14 And above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection."

1Jn 1:5-10, "And this is the message that we have heard from Him and are declaring to you: that God is light, and there is no darkness at all in Him. 6 If we proclaim that we have fellowship with Him, but we are walking in the darkness, we are lying to ourselves, and we are not practicing the Truth. 7 However, if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, then we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, His own Son, cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say that we do not have sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our own sins, He is faithful and righteous, to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His Word is not in us."

Jas 4:17, "Therefore, if anyone knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin."
