[We can’t see the wind, neither can we see God, yet both exist.] God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:24).

[Are you ready to grow up? Ready to put away childish things?] "When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. And now abides faith, hope, charity (love), these three; but the greatest of these is charity. (1 Corinthians 13:11-13).

[The opposite of love (charity) is hate, which is darkness.] "He that says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness even until now. He that loves his brother abides in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. But he that hates his brother is in darkness, and walks in darkness, and knows not whither (to what place) he goes, because that darkness has blinded his eyes." (1 John 2:9-11).

"Then Jesus said unto them, 'Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walks in darkness knows not whither (to what place) he goes. While you have light, believe in the light, that you may be the children of light.' These things spoke Jesus, and departed, and did hide Himself from them." (John 12:35-36).

[Do you believe and follow the teachings of Jesus?] "…Peter and the other apostles answered and said, 'We ought to obey God rather than men.' " (Acts 5:29).

[Christ has stern words for those who reject Him and serve evil.] "Jesus said unto them, 'If God were your Father, you would love Me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of Myself, but He sent Me. Why do you not understand My speech? Even because you cannot hear My word. You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth, you believe Me not.' " (John 8:42-45).

[Caution! Do you love the praise of men more than obeying God?] "For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. Jesus cried and said, 'He that believes on Me, believes not on Me, but on Him that sent Me. And he that sees Me sees Him that sent Me. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believes on Me should not abide in darkness.' " (John 12:43-46).

[You need spiritual vision:] "Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keeps the law, happy is he." (Proverbs 29:18).

[Saul who later became Paul asked,] "…Who are you, Lord? And He said, 'I am Jesus whom you persecute. But rise, and stand upon your feet: for I have appeared unto you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of these things which you have seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto you. Delivering you from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send you. To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God. That they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in Me.' " (Acts 26:15-18).

[Behold a mystery of God is revealed!] "But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love Him. But God has revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man, except the spirit of man which is in him? Even so the things of God knows no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned (understood). But he that is spiritual judges (investigates) all things, yet he himself is judged (investigated) of no man. For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ." (1 Corinthians 2:7-16).

[Example #1: God has chosen to blind them for a reason.] "He has blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them." (John 12:40).

[Example #2: God has chosen an elect to obtain vision, while blinding others.] "What then? Israel has not obtained that which he seeks for; but the election has obtained it, and the rest were blinded." (Romans 11:7).

[Example: #3 Some have chosen to hold on to the old covenant and reject the new covenant thus creating a vail (a covering) over their eyes.] "But their minds were blinded: for until this day remains the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ." (2 Corinthians 3:14).

[Example #4: Others have been spiritually blinded by Satan.] "In whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." (2 Corinthians 4:4).

[Example #5: Hate causes spiritual blindness as was mentioned earlier.] "But he that hates his brother is in darkness, and walks in darkness, and knows not wherever he goes, because that darkness has blinded his eyes." (1 John 2:11).

[We need to walk in a newness of life.] "For you were sometimes darkness, but now are you light in the Lord: walk as children of light." (Ephesians 5:8).
